Ages 9-14 / Grades 3-8

Playwriting often includes prompts, script readings and pressure-cooker time limits—but we'll put our ideas right into action! In this physical theatre-based approach, we begin with the body and voice in live play. Using the world of the animal kingdom for our creative fuel, this four-session course teaches the playwriting concepts of character creation, character relationship, conflict, objective, structure and form through an exploration of embodied improvisational play.
